You probably have a lot of questions about your child’s teeth and smile. When are her baby teeth supposed to fall out or why won’t this tooth ever seem to come in? Why does he have spaces or crowding? Will they need braces to fix it? When do I need to figure all of this out?
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends your child’s first orthodontic examination occur no later than age 7. Each child’s needs are different, but we will be able to evaluate whether there are any underlying problems that should be addressed before the full eruption of the permanent teeth. The appearance of straight baby teeth can sometimes be misleading. If early intervention (Phase I) is recommended, we will help you determine the best course of action and timing.
Most children do not require early treatment, but it is far better to know what may be coming down the road than be surprised after the fact. Early treatment is almost always followed by a second round (Phase II) of orthodontics to finish alignment of the permanent teeth. We are happy to provide an initial consultation and periodic monitoring for FREE as a service to our growing patients. Schedule your FREE consult!
The last few baby teeth are gone or on their way out, and your darling angel is sprinting towards adulthood faster than you can keep up. Your adolescent or teen is probably a little more mature and (if you’re lucky) a bit more responsible, but he or she is probably much more self-conscious around peers. Is he concerned about his teeth? What is cosmetic versus what is necessary for good health? Can she get clear braces or aligners instead of metal brackets? When can he get his appliances on and then how soon do they come off?
The most efficient time to start comprehensive orthodontics for most children is just as their last permanent teeth are erupting. We will assess your teen’s dental and facial concerns, as well as consider any self-esteem issues he or she may have. Motivation and compliance are key, and we will help you select the best option to achieve your child’s smile goals. Schedule your FREE consult!
There is no substitute for a healthy, beautiful smile that projects your self-confidence and personality to the world. Fortunately, it’s never too late to pursue orthodontic treatment, whether it’s for the first time or for a repeat touch up. You will have lots of questions that we can answer. Are my friends and colleagues going to notice? How do I fit this in my busy schedule? Does wearing braces or clear aligners cramp my style?
Maybe you never had the benefit of orthodontic treatment as a child, never finished or just maybe you were not a stellar retainer wearer (no judgment here). Is it time for your child to have ortho and it occurred to you that you don’t want to miss out on all the fun? Whatever the reason, it’s time you do something for yourself. We will evaluate your treatment needs and goals and develop a customized plan that is right for you. Schedule your FREE consult!
What’s wrong with good old metal braces? Nothing! They’ve been the standard workhorse of orthodontics for decades and continue to get smaller, less noticeable and more comfortable. You can have fun changing your “colors” and show the world that self-improvement is always in style!
Looking for something a little more inconspicuous? Ceramic braces blend in with your teeth and are less visible than metal braces. You can still change up your look with colored ties if you like!
Clear? Check. Removable? Check. Easier to brush and floss and eat your favorite foods? Check. Clear aligner therapy has taken the orthodontic field by storm and technology continues to advance every day. Much like Kleenex is to tissue, Invisalign® is the most well-known brand name for clear aligners today.
InBrace is a revolutionary system that allows your braces to be placed on the back of your teeth creating the only truly invisible orthodontic treatment option.
